My freshman cross country season was very successful. I placed between 2nd and 5th in all of my regular season meets for varsity and placed 5th at region in the 5k. Friendswood High School were regional champions and I placed 1st for the team. We qualified for state and got 4th in the 5A division. I placed 21st at state and 1st for the team with a time of 15:40 in the 5k. That time made me the fastest freshman in Texas and four seconds off of being the fastest freshman in the USA in the 5k.
