I’ve been chasing moments with a camera for as long as I can remember.
A Polaroid my mom gave me for Christmas in the early ‘80s. Eight shots. Gone in seconds.
Then came a zoom lens - snowboarding on golf courses before resorts allowed it, BMX and skating, bloody knees and elbows, friends moving fast and laughing louder.
I spent hours flipping through BMX mags, skate zines, and outdoor gear catalogs - studying the photos, the light, the feeling they carried. I didn’t know it then, but I was learning how images could pull you into a world and make you want to move.
In ninth grade, I learned to develop film in a darkroom. Watching an image rise out of nothing hooked me for life.
Still chasing that feeling.
Still shooting the people I move through the world with.
Moments over perfection. Always.
