We are not sure if you are aware of how hard it is to make an appointment to see a GP. There are numerous reasons women victims & survivors may miss appointments; this include rape, genealogical issues, mental health childcare issues, coercive control, depression, anxiety, ongoing abuses, fear of reprisals, trauma & financial issues. £10 is an lot of money to pay to miss an appointment. We know you are aware that domestic abuse victims are a vulnerable group & yet you knowingly want to doubly victimize them with your pledge. Do we really have to make you aware of the dangers of the women having to think about an additional burden and this burden becoming another barrier to reporting domestic abuse? ** Why not pledge to give more money to domestic abuse services & hire more staff for the health services. ** Why not invite the VAWG (Violence Against Women & Girls) sector, including the grassroots sector, to give our opinions. @RishiSunak Why not take Valerie's Law training & learn about Black women, cultural competency training & the dangers of your proposed pledge.
