Happy 106th birthday National Park Service!!! 🥳🥳🥳 The National Park Service was originally founded on August 25, 1916 when President Woodrow Wilson signed the Organic Act with the intention to preserve unimpaired unique natural and cultural resources for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations. 🌲 Today there are 63 national parks and 423 different individual National Park Service units that cover more than 85 million acres in all 50 states and US territories.
