So @janmlosada and I hiked out to Echo Cliffs, and rock climbed the mountain so I could hand-launch a drone. I captured about 150 images of the Echo Cliffs mountain range while strapped in to the top of the cliff via rock climbing gear. Even though I climb about every week at this point, it was a terrifying experience. More so the thought of dropping something scared me way more than falling. After we got the data, I combined all the images into one 3D model in Reality Capture, then exported it to Unreal Engine to light and render.
