N I N I . d e b u t . 5.7.22 • Stars may collide - and they certainly aligned this morning as I made my Nini debut @moulinrougebway . I struggle with the right words to describe what this moment, and everything leading up to it, means to me. But for now let me mention some heroes of mine: @carolineoconnorofficially - I saw Moulin Rouge in theaters when I was 13yrs old. My life was changed when I saw your Nini. I didn’t know film and theatre and dance could marry in such a spectacular way. I remember thinking, this needs to be a Broadway musical and one day when I’m a dancer in NYC, I will get to dance the tango Roxanne. @robynhurder - I want to be you when I grow up. Nini is the next best thing. You poured your heart and soul and technique into creating this role for the stage. It’s your legacy and will forever be an iconic moment in theatre history. You’re a total legend and I’m over the moon that I got to have one dance with you before you take your final bow.
