The Newbury Park High School Boys Cross Country take home Boys Team of the Year! @nphs_xc is without a doubt the best cross country team in history. Led by two pairs of brothers — the Sahlmans and the Youngs — the Newbury Park boys blasted state and national records on their way to high school cross country lore. Three Panthers decimated a 20-year old individual 5k record (14 minutes and 10 seconds. — Senior Colin Sahlman was the pack leader. He finished in a national-record time of 14-minutes, 3.29 seconds. Close behind were twin brothers Leo and Lex Young, who both finished in 14 minutes, 5 seconds! Congrats on making history Newbury Park! 👏 #USATODAYHSSA
