In 2002 during the Commonwealth Games in Manchester I had the honour to meet Her Majesty The Queen. A few athletes were chosen to have lunch with her. I was very nervous and especially after I realised I was sitting in the same table directly in front of her. I barely ate because I was afraid of doing anything wrong, she was so gracious and approachable she asked me my name, my sport and my country and when I mentioned I was from Malaysia she said how she knew that Malaysians loved their football ... especially the Premier League and how many Manchester United fans our country had.
