If you’ve read STOLEN or know me, it’s no secret that my time at Carlbrook School nearly destroyed me. My audiobook is now available, something that took nearly two weeks for me to get through. I had to re do many recording days because I found myself too angry or crying too much to speak clearly. I have only been able to listen to a few minutes of the finished product because it’s still so deeply triggering and the details are painful to relive again. I am still healing and processing like all other survivors, but I sincerely hope narrating the book myself continues to confirm how destructive these so called schools are.
