When we first toured this house, I walked into the dining room and immediately pictured an extra-long dining table, packed with people we love. I pictured Friendsgiving dinners, spontaneous weeknight meals with neighbors, quiet Sunday brunches with Jezzel, and date nights that we didn’t need to leave the house for. In that moment, I knew this had to be our house. Hosting can be exhausting. It can *sometimes* feel thankless. But creating these special moments and memories with others is my favorite way to show love. I love getting a small idea that snowballs into an elaborate dinner party that takes me a week to pull off. I love going all out for the tiniest details, even if no one else notices. But the best part has never been the food or the tablescape — it’s the people with a seat at the table. Every time I see this room full of our people, I see that daydream brought to life. And it’s NEVER lost on me that that’s the whole point 🤍
