A self-published book by @hahnbo titled, “Koreatown Dreaming” For almost a full year, we received film from Emanuel on a weekly basis. Emanuel documented Koreatown businesses and business owners to hear their story and how the pandemic affected their lives and to give them a platform to share their work. As we developed the film, our parents recognized the familiar faces and places. Their passion and love for their jobs and the city of Koreatown is evident in his photos. We didn’t know that these images would amass to be a beautiful book at the end. It was a nice surprise for us all. As a Korean-owned small family business, we are especially so proud to have been a part of this project. Thank you for your kindness and faith in us throughout all of this. We know how tricky some of the places were to shoot, yet they still all turned out amazing! Thank you for the weekly conversations with us detailing who & what you photographed- so fun.
