20 years ago, Hurricane Katrina forever changed Louisiana. 4 years ago to the day, Hurricane Ida brought back that heartbreak in a different way. My heart aches for my friends, loved ones, and everyone still carrying the weight of these storms. I hold so much love and admiration for this city for its resilience, spirit, and the way it keeps rising no matter what. Louisiana isn’t just a place to me, it’s home in my heart, and I’ll always stand in love and solidarity with it. ❤️ the beauty of this city will always shine through.
