Less than 24hours of landing in Colorado, I was in the mountains starting at 8500 ft elevation. Rising to over 1300 feet in less than 5miles. I was flying up the mountain until mile 4-altitude sickness hit. First I’ve never experienced altitude sickness. Second, lesson freaking learned. Nausea and the splitting headache tempted me to quit but I have never not finished a hike. I did it! Along with some help of some very kind fellow hikers. No regrets. My body needed the mountains 🏔️ Selfie to mark the pure happiness even though I was fighting to not throw up
