During mating season in Whyalla, the ratio of males to females reaches 8:1, meaning this overcrowding happens quite often! Giant Cuttlefish can weigh as much as 3 gallons of water (10.5kg or ~23 pounds) and can reach up to 1 meter (~ 3 feet) in length. That’s the size of a small dog!
