This week the entire Sky High team took the drive to @riseandrootfarm to meet the one and only Karen Washington aka MamaK (!) and see what the whole crew there is up to. Karen has been a real ground shaker in ag for years and years - we’re all walking the path she helped forge. @riseandrootfarm feels like a natural part of that evolution- women-owned, part of a cooperative land conservation program and dedicated always to inclusivity and education and abundance. Thank you MamaK (and partners!) for the inspiring visit and putting us to good, hard work in that fertile black dirt, introducing us to your cucamelons and your lisianthus, and reminding us that this work is deeply urgent but also *joyful*.
