Long post ~ Hey y’all! 🌟 I wanted to share a bit about my experience working at the Academy of Country Music Awards. My role varies with each event as I’m a contractor mainly, but for this one, I was mostly involved with security and operations. Basically, I babysat radios lol, tracked rehearsal set timings, and noted when talent arrived and left. While I typically have the credentials to roam around, not every job assigned is glamorous! Show Day:
- Show days are what we call "Organized Chaos". Hectic doesn’t even begin to describe it! Something always goes wrong—call outs, wardrobe malfunctions, audio issues, you name it. Expect a lot of running around and a long day, typically 14 hours from 8 AM to 10 PM (or later). Roles can change overnight, so arriving early is crucial.
- While you do get to see artists and their entourages, remember you're representing your company. No fangirling, interviewing, or selfies—it's unprofessional and can get you kicked off the premises. Some roles, like social media, might be more lenient, but discretion is key.. Which is why I only have these few pics 🤷🏽‍♀️ Typical Day-to-Day Life
- My regular workday involves a lot of emailing, scheduling, meetings, and small projects—all from the comfort of my sweats, thanks to remote work. About 80% of my job is remote until event time, which I get to choose for now (updates to follow). LMK if you have any questions! 😊 ••• #latepost #trending #acmawards #awardshow #celebrities #redcarpet #assistant #virtualassistant #executiveassistant #texas #cowboys #fyp #fypage #cornrows
