As the evenings are getting darker earlier I’m starting to mourn the loss of events all over again as I did back at the start of the original lockdown. There’s been flickers of light since then but heading into winter with an inevitable second lockdown incoming it’s clear any hope of having events back this year (or anytime soon) are all but extinguished. It’s clear our government have no idea what they’re doing right now (or since this all started). With freelancers across the events industry being left to survive on 20% grants and venues being declined the grants they deserve to survive. We were the first to close and will be the last to start back up. Sending love to all my fellow creatives/freelancers/events crew right now.
