The Molteni pavillion at this years Il Salone in Milan Rooms are separated from each other by closets/walls. Each room is conceived, visually open to patios or other environments but sensorially perceived as individual rooms. Designed as a living space: Kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom, hearth area, and entry area. Classic colonial layout conceived in a modern, traditional yet fluid style. The placement of furniture throughout the house is precise. The living room is the focal point of the house, it’s the core. The exterior walls are interrupted by patios, in turn open to the interior rooms like a pavilion open to the landscape. Exterior and interior blend to create a complete experience and ensure interactivity between the different parts of the house. The large roof system punctuates the facades and interior spaces with twin columns and beams, while light and air and sound flow through each room @moltenidada @gmolteni
