It’s not every day that one dear friend asks you to help him cover one of your favorite songs by another dear friend! Playing horns on this one was super surreal. I’m a lucky horn player... #Repost ・・・ Earlier this summer while on a short breather from my bigger project, I felt like recording a cover of my favorite Yo La Tengo, @therealylt, song. Easy I thought. But the self doubt bug got me in the studio. I had so much respect for the song. I started to record these over complicated, slightly hesitant versions. I could hear it in my vocals. So I erased everything. I love this song so much, and the guys in the band have always treated me so nice, this shouldn’t be hard. So I went back in and just sang and played the damn song straight from my love for it, called up my dear friend @carm_band and asked him if he could arrange some of his horn radness on it. Boom.
