Here is the final product of a little project I’ve been working on. Here’s a little back story... This chest was my great grandmothers and had been in the family for as long as I can remember. It housed all of my favorite Christmas decorations as a kid. It’s been through every move weve made throughout the years but had definitely seen better days. The wood on the lid was super dry and cracked in half and the legs were completely busted and barely hanging on. Recently my parents wanted to throw it out but I wasn’t going to let that happen... so here’s what I came up with! I removed the old legs and built a new base/legs as well as a new upholstered lid. I also added a facade to add some more interest. I’m excited with the outcome! It’s been given a new life and will hopefully stay in the family for another 50 years!
