✨Day 298 of 365✨ styling a vintage piece from my grandma‘s and my collection every day for a year! I’ve been wanting a quilted vest for AGES... Apparently this one was right under my nose this whole time, but was pushed to the back of our closet! It was made by my great Grandma who was a very talented seamstress/embroiderer/quilter/knitter in the late 60s/early 70s! The pattern on the back was likely made from scrap materials (the family was crafty) And around this time, handmade clothing began as a countercultural movement with hippies and quickly became used in high fashion collections. Today I paired it with a cool 70s blouse that belonged to my grandma’s sister, a pair of retro stretch flares, a peace sign necklace, screw-back gold hoop earrings, a crochet belt around my hair and I wish I could make my own clothes!
