Lip blush tattoo in MAGENTA 💜🌸 I don’t typically get asked to do colors like these and when I do I am completely obsessed 🤩 Truly, these darker, cooler colors will only work on caucasians FITZ 1-2. The reason for this is because these types of clients do not have any melanin present in their lips. It is like working on a blank piece of paper, any color you choose will work and will be safe 🤍 If you tattoo cool or dark colors onto clients who profile as fitzpatrick 3+ on the skin tone scale like myself, or those who have melanin in their lips, their melanated areas will go DARKER and the tattoo will heal uneven! 🎨 A lot of people and trainers in this industry teach that even for cooler lips like these in the photo where you can see present blue and purple undertones in the client’s natural lip, that you need to color correct it by using warm colors but this is simply NOT TRUE and FALSE teaching. 🚨 Wheras with melanated lips, we need to take precautions because the “coolness” we see is actually in the area we are tattooing. So the tattoo blends with the “grey” and “dark areas or the melanin in the lips itself. For lips like these above in the picture, the coolness we see is coming from underneath the skin.
