Wow, a real post from me 🤷‍♂️... GOOD MORNING WORLD! It’s been a crazy Covid kind of year , here I sit outside The Bricks, having a coffee, pondering on how to recreate a business model that didn’t work through the last year as it did for 10 plus years previously, before losing down the first time in March. The Bricks, located in YBOR CITY, FL, is a restaurant born through SPoT’s (@spottampa ) channels of needing a place to, gather, listen to good music, eat, drink, and be merry. We closed it down November 1, due to some staff testing positive with Covid, which then brought the realization “it’s real ” and we couldn’t continue with the existing business model that had worked for the last 10 years. Our community and world has completely changed and although our states is open for business, it doesn’t mean it’s “ back to normal”, as it’s FAR FROM NORMAL and a long ways to get there. Still deciding how to make it all work as we may only get one more chance, but we will prevail! I wanted to thank the community, the skateboarding world, every single person who stepped foot through the door, and especially our amazing staff who now has to find a job during these difficult times. Be patient as we work through the kinks and ideas that will get us open and sustainable in the new year. It’s been a year of a Covid, it’s a Christmas in 3 weeks, and 2021 just ahead.
