I’ve been wondering recently how much a person can stand to lose and yet still feel like somehow, they have gained. Thankfully the answer, according to what I wrote in the final few pages of my book - in which I ask myself what I would do if, for one day, I was ‘her’, the old me, what would I do if I wasn’t paralysed - is a fuck of a lot.
