To help health facilities in Puerto Rico prepare for hurricane season, Direct Relief equipped the Center for Diagnostic and Treatment (CDTs) in Vieques and Culebra with modules containing emergency medical supplies and medications for chronic conditions. Due to their geographic locations, Vieques and Culebra commonly bear the initial impact of hurricanes affecting Puerto Rico by isolating their residents from the main island both physically and in terms of resources.
