I don’t know how many stories trying to gin-up faux-outrage about me the Right Wing machine has generated, since I’ve been on vacay. Here is what Trumpers don’t get: You don’t stop caring about injustices happening, you don’t take the threats against democracy lightly, just because you cross an international boundary. We cannot take a vacation from loving America. Trump and his minions don’t give America a break. Their cruelty is constant. For God’s sake, they disappeared actual laborers, they woke children up in the middle of the night and dragged them IN SHACKLES into a deportation flight -without due process- on Labor Day weekend. We can live our lives. We can feel joy. And at the same time, we cannot look away or be oblivious to the abuses. Not for one day.
