🥈WGI 2025 - a season I won’t forget. For the past 7 months I kept telling myself “last year me would not believe what I did”. Sometimes I still can’t believe it. This season was really special to me because I got to spin with both old friends and new. This year’s Dayton was such a trip down memory lane as well. I have been doing independent colorguard for 5 years and in those times I not only got better but fell in love the activity even more as well as the people in them. Walking through UD and bumping into friends from Eklipse, Crossmen, SCGC, and Boston made me really realize how those organizations built me into the performer I am today. Even my old high school (where it all began) was there. Both my band and guard director who have watched me grow since 2016 got to see me perform in WGI world class finals. Paramount Winter Guard thank you for giving me a home. I always thought the top world guards were intimidating but you proved me wrong. Staff and members were nothing but the sweetest family I could ask for. I got to learn how to overcome new challenges, new technique, new styles; and overall gaining that growth I’ve been searching. It’s still so crazy how colorguard evolves and you can never run out of new things to learn especially here on the mountain. Rick and Andria, words can’t describe how much it has been an honor to learn from the both of you.
