This summer has been an absolute scorcher, but the heat hasn’t been able to stop our team from distributing the ever-growing abundance of food here at the farm. Despite drought, the environmental challenges of our landscape, and the harshites that come with the busy summer season, we’ve been able to harvest and donate: 3,047.61 lbs. of beef 599.5 lbs. of lamb 698.3 lbs. of pork 5,468.8 lbs. of produce 2,218 lbs. of whole chickens 1,083 dozen eggs In just over a month, our distribution of poultry and eggs doubled, and we more than tripled the amount of produce distributed to our food access partners. We are incredibly thankful for the bounty that this season has brought, and none of this would be possible without the farmers who make sure the gardens and livestock thrive under the hot summer sun.
