How far is too far? Let’s talk about it⬇️ One of the worst things to happen in lip tattooing is when you go too far outside the lip line. It heals unpredictability and looks fake. πŸ™ˆπŸ‘Ž I made this roadmap as a quick demonstration to show how far we are able to extend the lip line before it’s too much. πŸ” In the picture, you can see if you ZOOM IN that right up unto the new border I made, there is lip skin and texture. πŸ”Ž As we age, it is very common that our lips can β€œshrink” and we loose fullness, kind of like a receding hairline. But if you look close the skin for us to use is still there, we just need to add that color back πŸ™ When we are able to do this, it restores what was lost, adds fullness, defines the borders, enhances the shape, and gives us opportunity to play around. πŸ’‹ My top tips for doing this extension are: πŸ‘‰ never tattoo onto pores or face skin πŸ‘‰ never exceed 2mm of added fullness at most πŸ‘‰ do NOT extend the shape unless you are sure you’re still on lip skin and not in pores πŸ‘‰ use your predraw to help guide you πŸ‘‰ on every given person the limits of what you are able to do will be different, work with what the client has, and examine their skin texture I like to use @tinadaviesprofessional pencils and benefit bo-ing concealer to map and if I’m not sure if I went to far, I always swipe a small section of my predraw with a q-tip to check where the natural lip line is vs my predraw πŸ‘„ Did you know this was possible? #tattoo
