The Pala’wan Tribe An indigenous group located in a remote village in the highlands of Palawan, Philippines. ⠀ -After Ferdinand Magellan’s death, the remnant of his fleet landed in Palawan and described the cultivated fields of the native people. They discovered the tribes use of weapons consisting of blowpipes and spears. It was also their first time witnessing cockfighting. ⠀ I had the opportunity to visit the present day Pala’wan with @badboi & @karmagawa. It was quite an eye opening experience. Along with @jenicadizon & @pstrjasper, who play an integral role in building the jungle schools as well as providing safe drinking water filters to the villages @wavesforwater. We were fortunate to travel by helicopter to different schools, thanks to our pilot @pilot4him, visiting the kids while getting a glimpse of their culture.
