⠀ BRODIE SESSIONS - Day Four ⠀⠀ Today's featured performance: @schoolofx ⠀⠀ "There is another dimension shooting on film that you could never get when shooting digitally. Obviously there is the soft highlights and the way film treats the colours but you never see that directly in the moment of recording. It feels extremely organic, delicate and fulfilling to shoot a whole 11- minute roll in one take only looking through the viewfinder. After that a break, and then roll for 11 minutes again, moving the camera handheld, listening to the music, coordinating not getting other operators in shot, being aware everything gonna be ontape and pulling focus yourself is some challenge on 16mm and almost feels like being in a meditative state). ⠀ This particular session is shot in the home of deceased legendary painter Richard Winther. It is located in Vindeby in the Danish country side. Richard Winther was part of the progressive art movement The X School, which the band is named after, so the location was perfectly tailored.
