Over #Thanksgiving I went on a magical trip to #Jordan It’s natural and man-made wonders simply blew me away! If you are looking for a phenomenal journey, I would strongly suggest these sites to start! 1. First and foremost, the magnificent UNESCO archeological site of Petra! I simply have no words for this remarkable place! (Two full days needed to experience it properly... and be ready to walk and hike!) 2. Snorkel the C130 Hercules aircraft in the Red Sea in Aqaba. This commercial TriStar aircraft was sunk only a year ago and is extraordinary and creepy all at the same time! 3. Float in the Dead Sea, the lowest point of the Earth. I try and base my travels these days on destinations that won’t be around much longer... And with climate change, it looks like this Sea only has about 35 years left! 😢 4. Explore the Wadi Rum desert by 4x4 and sleep in a Bedouin camp under the stars! 5. Visit Holy Mount Nebo and look over the Promised Land. 6. Visit the ancient Roman castle of Jaresh. 7. Tour one of the famous mosques in Amman. 8. Visit a Hammam 9. Ride a camel in the desert! Please make sure to ride them there where they are beloved by their keepers, and not in Petra where they are generally not treated as well due to the tourist traffic, etc... #TravelsWithT #Petra #travelphotography #travelgram #travelblogger
