The colour Agave is one of our latest additions to the KitchenAid family, and its gorgeous green tone inspired us to make macarons 💚 While the whole world associates this iconic delicacy with the city of Paris 🇫🇷 macarons are actually Italian 🇮🇹Queen Catherine de Medici’s chef introduced the “maccharone” (meaning meringue in Italian) during the Renaissance period. Macarons are meringue-based confections made of egg whites, icing sugar, granulated sugar and almond meal. The shells are assembled together with buttercream, ganache or jam. It often takes a few tries to master this technical recipe, but luckily we have some seasoned bakers in the KitchenAid community.
