I’m writing this post in Nairobi, Kenya. I couldn’t fall asleep, so I’ve decided to revisit the personal triumph of throwing the first pitch in Citi Field earlier this month. Like any other time I experience something experts do everyday for a living, after standing on the mound in front of thousands and throwing a weak ground ball, now more than ever, I have the utmost respect for any athlete playing on a professional level. 🙇🏻‍♂️ On the day of the pitch, it didn’t hit me how monumental it was. Looking back, I’m even more thankful to the @mets organization for giving me the opportunity and all my friends and #trustjaeki massive for the words of encouragement and tips. Life is good!
