Introducing Penelope Marie, our little lady ❤️. This is the biggest blessing- in fall of 2023 we found out I was pregnant with a GIRL! We are so grateful, and now she’s finally here! Pic one- baby bliss at the hospital Pic two- Nick with our sweet babe. His kind, caring and considerate soul already make him the sweetest girl dad. Pic three- delighted and overjoyed at the swift and safe arrival of this baby. Many of you remember Cal’s car to ER birth story that surprised us in less than a hour’s time. This time around, my water broke, and within 30 mins of arrival at the hospital, Penelope was born! More on that later for the full birth story. Pic four- ultra sound when we discovered we were nearly out of the woods of the miscarriage zone, something that the previous three times we did not get to experience. IYKYK Pic five- the sweet brothers with their sister. Let’s just say they are smitten! They care so much for her, and want to help her whenever they hear the slightest peep, it’s so sweet. Pic six - T -minus 4 hours pre birth. Lunch at Erewhon .. little did I know I was consuming my labor fuel. I highly recommend the Bohemian Raspberry juice I was sipping on for hydration! I was very thirsty, and saw the first ingredient was coconut water, so I grabbed it. Pic seven - headed to hospital after my water broke- had no idea she’d be born literally thirty minutes later. This photo was obviously taken between contractions hence the ‘sorta smile.’ Pic eight - being outside and hiking was the one thing that helped with my pregnancy nausea that pretty much lasted throughout the pregnancy. This was a hike with Nick in May with the wildflowers 🌸. Pic nine - post lactation consultation appt mini date with Penelope at @moonjuice this week. Fueling up on chia seed pudding and the Green Shake! Penelope Marie is named after both of our maternal grandmothers. Both were elegant and classy, as well as kind women with very special places in our hearts ❤️❤️❤️. And as a fun anecdote, they were both 5’10 like I am! We are so overjoyed to share our newest member of our family with you.
