So honoured to be included in the 50 year anniversary for The Harder They Come exhibition in Kingston, Jamaica last night! Can’t believe it. 💛 With the super short film ‘Rhyging Sun’ The Harder They Come had an enormous impact on me as a teenager. 2 years ago, I asked Justine Henzell, Daughter of the director Perry Henzell, for permission to incorporate the film into an animation. To my disbelief she granted permission with one clause: that I allow it to be included in this very exhibition. The group exhibition and event was a joyous celebration of one of the most significant films to emerge out of Jamaica/the world.
