When you move abroad.. ✨ You might have better relationships with your family. Sometimes, it’s easier to love them from afar. You might lose contact with your friends or people who you thought were your friends. You start to speak less and less until eventually you don’t talk at all. You’ll have to push yourself outside your comfort zone every day to adapt to a new place. And all of a sudden you realise “abroad” is now “home”, but also that your family gets older without you there to take care of them. You might feel lonely and at some points think about going back. But when you go back you realise you can never actually go back. What used to be home is no longer home but also nowhere and everywhere is home all at once. 💭
