One of my all time favourite words is Meraki (Sanskrit: μεράκι). The closest translation in English would be 'passion'; to do something with soul, creativity, or love. To leave a piece and essence of yourself in your work. Why this is this my favourite word you may ask? Let me tell ya! Sometimes I get the urge to want to replicate an account that I love! But I have to remind myself, people are drawn to new and exciting... So how can I be new... how can I be original? The answer is quite simple... you leave a piece of yourself in your work. You can't replicate someones soul, you can't be someone else, you are who you are. I have my own opinions, my own ideas, my own style and I often forget that that is what makes me stand out from other people. I challenge you to start creating with Meraki because you are your greatest asset.
