Wanted to celebrate hitting the 50k milestone (how the fuck did that happen?!!) not with balloons but by dressing like a bottle of Colman’s mustard (or a canary?) and saying THANK YOU! To everyone who follows me on here, and especially the ones who’ve stuck with me since the beginning. Especially because I have no social media strategy 😂 and this has always been a personal account that has grown from things I like to share, as well as connect with my various communities on here. Thought it might be nice to share the following - and also how far I’ve come from a) posting no captions and expecting people to telepathically know the meaning of some random pebble/tree, b) posting pics the WRONG WAY ROUND c) having zero likes on a lot of my posts. So! Pics 1&2 - I bought this from @dailypaper and am ashamed to say was worried it was too ‘young’ for me. Then thought fuck that and personally, love it - also the shorts are SO supportive and comfy. Pic 3 - my first ever instagram post. No caption and zero likes but - what a precious memory - Rob placed these gladioli on my bedside table when I was asleep so I would wake up to them and I still love these flowers. Pic 4 - Rob, in the middle of getting a pedicure from Mum’s foot guy in India who has seen some hobbit feet in his time and almost lost an eye while clipping Rob’s talons. Pic 5 - when the Guardian interviewed me and my parents - love this photo of my dad Pic 6 - my leaving day at HuffPost and @brogan_driscoll who actually helped me with my Insta eg ‘stop posting from ugly angles’ Pic 7 - Me and Leela - her little hand. She is in my thrall ❤️ Pic 8 - surfing in my ancestral homeland Mangalore on a sabbatical that changed my life and was the basis for In Search of Silence Pic 9 - my dog Daisy, who is walking the cosmos with Rob Pic 10 - competing at the 2019 euros when I realised that I was part of a team (@barfight_team) and love felt infinite.
