as a kid, i was lucky to spend an abundance of idyllic summers with my cousins in okinawa. i remember thinking: how i’d never seen a bluer sky, how the ocean felt like a warm bath, and how the sand felt like flour between my toes. okinawa is a sacred place— both to the community that lives there and to me. coming back after years abroad has elicited a renewed sense of warmth and love for this place. enjoy some snapshots on film of my time coming back home. #35mm #okinawa #nagookinawa
