Putting together Never Forget was amazing! @thenameismag44 and I envisioned my album as a theatrical score, when creating Never Forget we pulled from elements of Zamrock: Kalindula Guitar Melodies associated with the genre of Zamrock performed by @mastasammy Marimba keys and strings to bring both traditional and theatrical elements performed by @samnyambe Tradional Drum and 808 fusions by Thee Mag 44 and Nomakanjani Chorus of ancestral chants written by me and performed by Mwanjè And a pre-chorus about generational connection written by @mwanje_t Engineered by the legendary @blazer_events We later added the amazing voice of @tionason who brought the bridge that glued it all together and the incredible @chef187kopala to solidify our message of pioneering as Zambians! All inspired by a genre that was pioneered by courageous legends who chose to share their music to the world and we now in turn get to do the same. What a time! 🙌🏾❤️
