The Black Trans Liberation Kitchen is a collaborative infrastructure for survival that will feed and nourish trans communities and provide a blueprint for healing justice and transformative food security work nationally. The campaign is a partnership among our 2022 Community Lunch partner FIG (@fig_nyc_), Black Trans Liberation (@blacktransliberation), and Colectivo Intercultural TRANSgrediendo (@citgny). BTL, TG and FIG are building programs that distribute locally grown fresh produce and culturally-relevant prepared meals; provide food for community meetings and celebrations; and facilitate culinary workshops sharing skills for healthful and economical cooking as well as reclaiming ancestral foods.
