Awareness months are a great way to bring awareness and understanding, but what happens when that month is over? Breast cancer can unfortunately affect anyone (both women and men) at any age and it’s so important to understand what signs and symptoms to look out for and to regularly check your breasts. You should speak a doctor if you notice any of the following: • a new lump or swelling • a change in the size or shape of one or both breasts • nipple discharge or change in the appearance of your nipple such as the nipple becoming inverted • a lump or swelling in your armpits • a change in your skin, such as puckering or dimpling, a new rash or change in colour.
