Ok hi formal full text announcement: August 19th: @ensemblesignal will give the WORLD PREMIERE of “Spiral” - a new 22 minute work I just finished composing!! 🌀🌀🌀 I’ve idolized Ensemble Signal since 2011 - when I found the @sarahkirklandsnider and @mybrightestdiamond album Penelope (I know I talk about this album a lot but it was genuinely that impactful for me). And the ensemble performing all those canons and textures that still roll around my head was Ensemble Signal. So ... kindof a wild full circle dream come true moment to have them premier this work. August 19: at @thedimennacenter , @ensemblesignal premieres “Spiral”, a work for mixed ensemble AND track (😉😈) on a program of George Lewis pieces!! It’s going to be SO GOOD and wild and aesthetically W I D E Also I’m like NEVER here in nyc. So if you want to see me and if you want to hear my voice, come to this.
