Howdy y’all! I’m currently booked to do @rupaulsdragcon this January 2023! Just a few weeks away, I’ve never done one before and I’m a bit anxious about. Fellow queens is it worth it? Fellow drag fans will you be coming? It’s always a bit of mental trauma when you have to sit in a booth waiting for people to come visit you, whilst some other gals have lines and lines of people, can make you go to dark place of self loathing and jealously, which is not my 2023 vibe. And comparing myself to other gals and they’re fan numbers and insta followers is deffo a bad rut I would like to get out of, for good! Plus getting merch, set dressing, hidden cost that the organisers like to milk from you - the financial and mental cost could be too much? Or am I over thinking shall I turn up, staple some empty crisps packets to the wall and have a laugh and meet fab people? So yeah thoughts, reflections? Shall I do it or shall I stay at home and chew me toenails in bed? 💛
