Soaking up the sun ☀️ Today is day 2 of #PeaceAlover and our pose is a seated pose and we’re asking for the practice or exercise that brings you peace. ♥️🕊 I chose a seated compass pose because it opens my body in so many ways. There’s a deep stretch to the hamstrings, a spinal twist, a shoulder opener - when properly warmed up, this pose feels amazing in my body. If I’m not feeling like fully extending my leg in this pose, sometimes I just stay in a seated hip opener that feels quite a bit like a half pigeon. This is what I’m doing in this video just before extending my right leg. ♥️
Without a doubt, my yoga practice gives me the most peace of any physical exercise I do. The connection of body and breath creates a meditative state for me and allows me to find an ease in all things, even if just for a short period of time. ♥️
