My top 3 secrets for staying in top shape year round (READ BELOW) 😏
I don’t maintain show leanness year round but I never let the abs go completely. Body composition is extremely important for me not just for aesthetic reasons or social media, but to make sure my internal health is on point 💪🏼
Secret #1: I overprepare. For those of you that know me offline, I am adamant about preparation. When it comes to having my meals prepped and making sure I’m crossing all my t’s and dotting all my i’s, that’s something I take very seriously. And quite frankly, it’s the biggest change I’ve seen in myself since starting bodybuilding. You have to prepare to win or else you’re preparing to fail! 🏆
Secret #2: I know what I’m doing because I’ve taken the time to learn.
Without investing in a course, coach, or doing your own personal due diligence online, it’s unrealistic to think you’ll have the tools and expertise required to shortcut your results. Learning is essential to growth with your fitness journey🤝 when we feel competent in a certain arena, we are more likely to enjoy it!
Secret #3: I fuel my mind so I stay sharp, motivated, and hungry for sustained progress. 🧠 your body can’t go where your mind doesn’t flow. Your brain is the most powerful thing in your body so we need to flex our mindset and fill our cups up with positivity on a daily basis. Do I get frustrated, annoyed, or upset sometimes? Absolutely... I’m human too but I try to consciously do more of the things that put me in a good headspace and less of the things that irk me on a daily basis. I try to stay as humble, level headed, and mentally clear as possible so my mindset is not the reason I fail to execute my plans.
