Living in Bali. Its been a dream of mine for sometime to live long term in a place surrounded by other creators and adventure filled potential around every corner. After working from my home in Melbourne city for months on end staring at the same white walls I began to miss the feeling of when i used to edit from a laptop Traveling from hostel to hostel making videos on the go. Being able to work almost anywhere was super engaging and exciting, and fuelled much of the motivation i felt when creating videos. I was making videos to continue living free like this and purely for the love of it. In the last 2 years so much had changed and my motivation and excitement has been very low. I guess there wasn’t much us people in Melbourne could do considering the Lockdowns which played a large part in the lack of motivation. Id also been caught up in a lot of client projects in which were great at the time but ended up pushing me further away from the goals i set for myself that would benefit me greater if i had of focused purely on them. So this 4 month escape is a chance for me to focus on myself, and create content without any external influence, nothing but my mind and my camera like it used to be. Its also a chance to finish my Masterclass which has been delayed too many times by external opportunity’s. Something that ill be putting a lot of time and energy into whilst I’m here. Most mportantly its a chance to live life again and make up for the priceless travel moments that were missed during the last 2 years of the Melbourne lockdowns that scribbled out what could have been some of the best moments of my life. To be completely transparent, its been a fkn hard 2 years and my mental health has been all over the place to put it lightly. However having already been here for a week now its amazing what a change of scenery can do for the mind.
