I’m convinced this is the martini of the summer πŸ…πŸΈ This is long overdue, but I finally had to try the Tomato Martini (aka Tomato-Tini aka Tomato-tini) created by my friend @evie. If you’re a fan of dirty (read: filthy) savory martinis then this one is for you. I added just a slight kiss of MSG to this one just to highlight a bit of the natural MSG in tomatoes and I thought it worked out beautifully. Have you made this recipe yet? TOMATO-TINI β€” 21⁄2 oz 75 ml Gin 1⁄2 oz 15 ml Dry Vermouth (by Evie) 1 Barspoon Champagne Vinegar 1 Barspoon Lemon Juice 1 Pinch Sea Salt 1 Pinch MSG (Optional) Garnish with Black Pepper, Olive Oil, Cherry Tomato, and Basil. β€” Add all ingredients except garnishes to a shaking tin and muddle. Add ice, then shake. Double strain into a chilled coupe or nick and Norah glass.
