I’ve been accepted to Columbia Business School! I am so excited to be part of the Executive MBA Program at CBS!! 🎉
Getting to Columbia Business School has been a dream of mine for over a decade and I am so proud that I now get to share this experience with such amazing and accomplished leaders and executives.
What makes this milestone even more significant for me is that I'm a first-generation daughter of immigrants. My parents came to the US from Ghana 🇬🇭 and brought with them hopes and dreams for a better future for their children. They consistently instilled in me the value of education. This point in the journey is heartwarming. From being the first in my family to graduate from college to admittance to an Ivy League and M7 Business School 🏆, is beyond!!!
After the tests, reflections, essays, strategy sessions, and continual effort, I am over the moon to be here now. I am grateful for my letter writers, essay readers, managers, family, friends, and supporters who helped and encouraged me along the way! 🙏🏾
I am even more thrilled that I will be able to use this education and experience to help other people further their careers. I’m excited to leverage the knowledge and insights that I gain from the business school in my HR, career coaching, and mentoring professions. And as a people-centered person, the relationships that I’m forming with my amazing, bright and dynamic classmates is most exciting! 💥
💙 I received my acceptance letter 2 years ago today and it's been 🆙 since 💙
